Business Development Manager
POSITION: BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER-OTTAWA REGION
SUPERVISOR: GENERAL MANAGER
STATUS: FULL TIME
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Regional Director of Sales, the Business Development Manager is responsible for all activities relating to sales development for both HLGO and HALTO to the Corporate Group and Business Travel markets. The Business Development Manager is ultimately responsible for finding and developing new business, implementing sales strategies and tactics which are aligned with the business objectives of each hotel.
Sales
- Actively solicits new business thru outside sales calls, prospecting, attending local association events, client entertaining and sales blitz’s.
- Implements sales action plans and work hit and key account lists to help reach and surpass quarterly quotas.
- Demonstrates strong negotiation skills in working out contractual agreements with potential clients quote and negotiate prices within established parameters.
- Attempts to maximize ADR whenever possible and sell slower periods when the opportunity arises
- Maintains personal contact with “top” producing customer accounts through regular sales calls to promote excellent communication and client feedback.
- Ensures highest quality of client satisfaction utilizing Opera Sales and Catering to track, solicit, book and follow up on accounts.
